Show 5 of 20 in a row that they played Alabama Getaway. You think, maybe, Jerry really liked it? It always felt that way to me - it's kind of the Promised Land/Around And Around/Johnny B. Goode that they wrote themselves.

Jerry is plugged in China Cat through Comes A Time in a big way. Comes A Time carried so much power at this stage. Jerry was airborne to end the Rider.

IMHO the Bass on this show is overwhelming.

Subject: Outstanding show
I was fortunate enough to have a high school friend that when to the University of Hartford from 79-83. He got us front row tickets for this show. This is a very solid show all the way around.

This recording and remixing really bring out the best of everything. As has been said many times - Thank you CM.

The second set is one of my favorites. The China-> Rider is stellar. The five song seg following is exceptional. Comes a Time was a rare treat and was a nice change of pace after the explosive first few songs to open the set.

This is definitely worth a listen

nailed it... anyone ever try a matrix of 80% AUD 20% SBD

***seems like a good idea on paper***

Subject: a very good example
This is a very good example as to why a good audience recording is far and away better than a great sbd. That which provides the supernatural quality at a gd show is the energy which is produced between the band and the crowd. Without it all you have is half the story. A matrix is preferable but, I'll take a really good aud. over a sbd. anyday.
Check out the way the heads react to the explosions (especially towards the end of Althea) its priceless. Also, an in your face Passenger well worth the listen.
